1995年、オーディション番組で突如出現し注目を集めたカスケードのメジャーデビューミニアルバム。と宣伝文句っぽく言ったら安っぽく聞こえてしまう
彼らが解散してしばらく経つが、ここ10年で彼らほど毒を持ったメジャーバンドも見当たらないと思う。そんな彼らの最も毒のあったインディー気質な傑作。ミニアルバムやEPを甘く見ている人がいたら、それは間違いだから考えを改めて欲しい!この『VIVA!』には彼らの全てに近いものがあるからだ。もちろん他の作品も素晴らしいものはあるが、『VIVA!』には敵わない…ライブではいつもこのアルバムの曲の大半は必ず演っていたし、彼ら自身(特にマサシ)もこのアルバムを原点にして、方向性は変えどやってきた。
このアルバムにある衝動や凶暴性、そして遊び心はどのカスケ作品にもあるものだ。ただ最もそれが高純度で顕れてるのが「アナログ少年」であり、「Kill Me Stop」であり「しゃかりきマセラー」そして「VIVA NICE TASTE」である。つまり本作『VIVA!』であることは間違いない。これを聴いたら『beautiful human life』も聴いて欲しい!

これを聞くまでにいくつかシングルを聞いた事があったけれど
初期はこんなパンクっぽく、初期衝動がつまっていたんだ
そう感じました。

「Kill Me Stop」で完全に世界にひきづれこまれましたね！
「いるかな」などタイトルからは想像できんくらいにぶっ壊れてて・・。
気がつくとずっぽりはまっている名盤です！

後にでたシングルをきいてはまった人、これは聞いてください！
彼等の進化が伺えますよ！

何も言うことありません。

聞けばわかる！！
今まで聞かなかった事を後悔するでしょう。
でも、今聞かなかったら一生後悔しますYO！
