　本当は、星などつけられない。批評対象外の存在だから。「ふざけるんじゃねえよ」は、高校から大学にかけて、いくつかのバンドで何回もコピーした。単純なコード進行に畳み掛けるような歌詞。今から25年も前のことである。こんなバンドは他にはなかった。
　ふっざっけるんじゃねえよ　てめえの善人面を

　ふっざけるんじゃねえよ　いつかぶっとばしてやらあ
「ふざけるんじゃねえよ」一曲だけのために買っても惜しくない。

　思いつきだけの駄曲もあるが、「歴史から飛び出せ」「少年は南へ」も名曲だ。とにかく歌詞がいい。前者に出てくるモロゾフカクテルとは、火炎瓶のこと。後のパンタの名曲「マーラーズパーラー」と同じ構造を持つ歌詞だ。後者は、ベトナム戦争でのゲリラが、目的を失って戦い自体を目的化してしまっていることを、25年も前に喝破している。こういうことは、10年以上たってからわかったことだ。コピーして歌うカタルシスに酔っていたころ、私は頭脳警察の何もわかっちゃいなかったんだなあ、と思う。

《過激な政治的メッセージ》と《POPな抒情的やさしさ》という相反する要素が、バランス良く融合した傑作アルバム。頭脳警察のオリジナル・アルバム8枚は、どれも重要な作品ばかりだが、このアルバムはその中でも、一番完成度が高く親しみやすいアルバムかもしれない。ある意味、《頭脳警察=過激なアジテーション》という一般的なイメージを裏切る、純音楽的な傑作です。

この作品は様々な要素がありますが、力強さはまったく衰えていないと言った様子でいいたい事を訴えているエネルギーを発散させる曲もあり。ワンパターンでは言い表せない力を放っています。
とにかく、彼らのエネルギーにほかの要素が引っ張られてひとつの作品になっていると思います。これははまります。
