ジャズのデュオというと、ピアノとギター（ビル・エヴァンスとジム・ホール）の「アンダーカレント」やピアノとサックス（ケニー・バロンとスタン・ゲッツ）の「ピープル・タイム」などが傑作だ。異なった楽器の組み合わせが普通だが、このアルバムのようにギターとベースという弦楽器同士のデュオは珍しい。出来は最高。弦楽器同士のインタプレイのすごさに驚かされる。当時としては画期的な試みだったのだろう。もちろんアルバムの成功は、ジム・ホールとロン・カーターという超実力派あっての事だ。選曲も有名な表題曲以外に「朝日のようにさわやかに」「枯葉」など名曲も多いのがうれしい。１９７２年と古い録音、しかも条件の悪いライヴだが、ジム・ホールの透明感溢れるギターとロン・カーターのベースの低音もよく再現されている。１９７０年代を代表する名盤である。（松本敏之）

超インテリギタリスト、ジムホールおじさまとマイルスバンドでおなじみのロンカーター大先生の素敵なアルバム。
ロンカーター先生！ここでもリフ大好きさは変わりません（笑）。
素晴らしいグルーウ゛にわたくし、酔いしれました＾＾
ジムおじさま！考えられ、洗礼されたアレンジ、卓越したメロディー・・・もう好きにしてください（ ゜Д゜）y─┛~~ 　

こんなアメージングな親父達の演奏を聞ける私たちは幸せです。
