   アフリカ大陸最深部の森林地帯で独自の狩猟・採集の生活をおくる、アフリカ先住民のピグミー。「森の人」と呼ばれる彼らの音楽は、独特のポリフォニー唱法にある。
   もともとピグミーの歌は、森の精霊たちとの交信であり、豊猟を願う祈りであった。1人が発した声に次々に重なるように、複雑な音のハーモニーと躍動するリズム感が立ちあがってくる。密林のなかで呼吸するピグミー族の驚異の歌声が、ふんだんに自然音を取りいれた衝撃の現地録音でよみがえる。（新井由己）

人類における音楽の本来の姿というのはこのCDに収録されている音楽のようなものをいうのではないでしょうか？何の根拠もないですが、何度もそう思ってしまいました。
森の中、鳥のさえずり、蝿の飛ぶ音…全てが素晴らしいです。電気を落として、ヘッドホンで聴くと、もうまるで彼らが暮らすコンゴの森の中のよう。
秘境のありさまをありのまま伝えてくれる貴重な音源だと思います。

初めて本来の音楽を聴いた気がしました

ＣＤもスピーカーも無くたって、音楽があるんだなぁと思いました

一瞬、ビートルズもツェッペリンも忘れちゃうくらい
そのくらいすごい音楽です

最近アフリカの音楽（伝統音楽も現代音楽も）のＣＤがかなり出回るようになって嬉しく思っていました。コラとかカリンバの演奏まで日本にいて手に入れることができます。
しかし、まさかピグミーのコーラスを現地録音したＣＤが存在しているなんて！アフリカ伝統音楽のファンであれば一度聞いてみてください。

現代人のための「癒し系」の音源としてもいいかも？！そんなことを言ったら歌っている彼らに失礼かもしれませんが。
