　「Slow, Deep And Hard」(1991)、「The Origin Of The Feces」(1992)、「Bloody Kisses」(1993) に続く、1996年・4作目。タイトルは、木々が色づき・枯れていく季節をイメージしており、「愛の終わり」も暗示しているそう。バンド名は、血液型：O 型Rhマイナスの意。

　美意識を持った欧州ゴシックとは異なり、アンダーグラウンド/ハードコアの要素を持つ他、セックスを連想させるエロティックな世界観を持つNY 産ゴシック・バンド。ヴォーカル/ベースであり、殆どの曲を手掛けるピーター・スティールは、身長196センチ。サイボーグのような巨体で、マッチョな肉体美を好む女性ファンから熱狂的に支持されている。ライヴともなれば、「Fxxkして〜」「血を吸わせて〜」という黄色い声が、ひっきりなしに飛ぶそうだ。

　1st.〜3rd.までは、アクの強い剥き出しのサウンドが何処かに存在していたが、本作ではそれが綺麗に抜け、「メジャーの音」になっている。THE MISSIONの名曲へのオマージュと思える曲名を持った、代表曲「Love You To Death」は、100本の蝋燭が燃える中で、肉体を交わらせる光景がディープに描かれる。そして、3P を歌ったと思われる「My Girlfriend's Girlfriend」は異性愛・同性愛も内包しながら、驚くほどキャッチーな曲に仕上がっている。ハイ・レベルな曲が並ぶこの作品でも、上記2曲の完成度は特別だ。

　バンドのイメージカラーである「緑」をタイトルに冠した「Green Man」、コンピにも提供された「Wolf Moon」、更にニール・ヤングのカヴァーでありながら、全く違った解釈で自分達のものにした「シナモン・ガール」等。「それに準ずる」曲も相当に良い。 100点満点の採点でも、90点代中盤が出るであろう。

　ヘヴィでスローなギター・リフが支配する一方、ジョッシュ・シルヴァのセンスの良いキーボードが乱舞し、決して「重い」だけではない、洗練されたサウンドが展開する。

　健全な音楽・楽しい音楽とは対極に位置するが、芸術としての完成度は半端じゃない。品質に拘るリスナーを必ず満足させるであろう傑作だ。

暗い、憂鬱、死、ﾈｶﾞﾃｨﾌﾞ、悪魔的、宗教的、暗黒系、どう形容しても結構ですが感じるんです。この音にやられましたって感じ。ある意味僕にとっては癒し系とも言えます。5曲目green man, 6曲目red waterなどはいいですね~。in praise of bacckusもいい。なんと言ってもlove you to deathは心が震えました。これぞ「作品」と言える力作！僕が日本の音楽界に望むのはｱｰﾃｨｽﾄ達から聞こえてくる「主張」です。その主張が全然聞こえてこないのが残念ながら日本の音楽ｼｰﾝの現実です。かなし。。。
