　実は私も基本的にギャンブルは大好きなのですが、本格的に始めると身の破滅を招くことが判っているので、せいぜいゲーセンのクレーンゲームにとどめています。
　少なくとも、この作品は｢楽しい｣映画ではありません。辛くなります。でも、ギャンブラーの心理をよく理解した、良質の作品だと思います。観ていると、主人公の心の中が手にとるように理解できるのです。
　｢賭け｣に興味のない方には退屈な作品と映るでしょうが、少しでも興味のある人間にとっては、身につまされるサスペンスだと思います。少なくとも今のコングラ全盛のご時世では絶対に創られないタイプの作品です。そんな意味でも貴重な佳作と言って良いと思います。
