サントラでグラミーを取れているだけにとても素晴らしい。Ｄグルージンのセンスに脱帽。ミッシェルファイファーのマイファニーバレンタインは甘くとても良い感じ、映画女優でこんなに歌の上手い人初めて知った。その他、Ｄグルージンの軽快なＪＡＺＺフュージョンや、ベニー・グッドマンのムーングロウもとても素晴らしい。アール・パーマー・トリオのバーランドの子守歌はとても軽快で歯切れが良い感じです。映画音楽は本当に人の心に残る事とはこういう事なのですね。色んなＪＡＺＺが満載でＪＡＺＺを始めて聴く人にはお勧めできます。と言うもの、自分がこの一枚でＪＡＺＺと言うものに興味を持ち始めたのだから間違い有りません。

ピアニスト兄弟と助っ人の歌姫とのちょっと切ない恋物語を彩る音楽は、デイヴ・グルーシンの手によるもので、映画のサントラですが、ジャズＣＤとしても楽しめます。主演のミッシェル・ファイファーが映画の中で自ら歌った曲も収められており、映画を見た上で聴くと、ますます楽しめます。

映画でのミシェル・ファイファーの演技（歌も！）はたいへん素晴らしく、私と同じくこれを観て彼女のファンになった方も多いことだろう。華奢だが芯があり、色っぽい。そんな彼女のヴォーカルは「Makin' Whoopee」「My Funny Valentine」の２曲のみしか収められていないが、その２曲のためだけに購入する価値のあるＣＤと評して憚らない。いわゆるプロの歌ではないかもしれないが、繊細で美しく、ハートのある歌唱である。
