ナイン･インチ･ネイルズの作品としては最も激しく直情的な作品だろう。この頃はトレント曰く最も最低な時期だったそうで、前作の延長線上だったらしい本作のデモを、分解し傷つけ組み合わせ恐ろしいまでに激しい作品として完成させている。ナイン･インチ･ネイルズの中では比較的ヘヴィながらわかり易い。特に#2『WISH』は、歪んだノイズとマシンビートが支配する中で痛烈に響くトレントの声に帯びたメロディーに惹かれる。とてつもなく複雑でわかりにくいはずの音を作り上げながら、その音の壁を極自然に理解させられる。そう言った意味では後の作品パーフェクトドラッグと同じ性質のものかもしれない。また、このアルバムには99曲の楽曲が収録されている。「えっ！」と思った方、それがどうゆう事かはぜひ聞いて確かめてみて下さい。
