ふとしたきっかけで、ＣＤを手に入れました。
へこんでいる時だったので、元気１００倍！
特にＣＡＴＳsideの６曲目Cry No Moreは元気出ます！！！
その他、皆さんご存じのMariワールドも御座います。
初めての人も、トライして損は無いはず！

私の記憶の中に強く残っている浜田麻里は、赤い革ジャンなんかを着てヘビメタってたデビューの頃の姿だ。当時ヘビメタクイーンなどと呼ばれていたけれども、私の印象は、やたらシャウトするが声量もなく声もか細いボーカリストというもので、歌唱は下手とは思わなかったが、とりたてて上手いとも思わなかった。異論はあるだろうが、私の中でヘビメタクイーンといえば、声量においても声の太さにおいてもカルメンマキだったのである。この20年、折々で浜田麻里の歌に触れるたび、あぁこの子まだ頑張ってるんだな〜、と応援はしていたが、最初に抱いた私の印象は変わらなかった。それは現在も同じである。ただ、これは否定的な意味ではない。こうしてベスト盤によって彼女の歴史を通して聴くと、かけがえのない個性的な声の持ち主だったのだな、と大いに実感できる。このCDは、とりたてて貴重な音源が入っているわけではないし、ベスト盤としては普通の出来だが、2枚組というボリュームであることが美点であり、浜田麻里の歌を十二分に堪能できるようになっている。収録楽曲はさほどバラエティに富んでいるわけではない。ワンパターンと言ってしまえるようなものである。しかし、その金太郎飴的なところがまた魅力なのだ。全編これでもか〜!とシャウトしっぱなしの、愛すべき個性の金太郎飴である。
