彼女の音は心の奥に響く。
普段聞いていても美しい曲で聞き流してしまうこともあるが、落ち込んでいるとき、彼女の曲のいずれかは必ず強い励ましと立ち上がろうとする力を与えてくれる。
圧迫感。嵐の前の海に向かい、海風を受けているときのようなもの寂しさと、何者にも負けない強さを持っている。

時に厳しく、時に甘やかしてくれる全てのエレメントが飽和状態のアルバム。

彼女のアルバム中、私が知ったのは最近ですが、じわじわと効いてきます。 この頃は、毎日流さないと気が済まなくなっています。 このアルバムが、一番弾き語りをアレンジで邪魔していない。 むき出しの、楽曲だけで勝負しているのが、心地よいのです。 かといって、ファースト程に歌詞の不安定を感じることはありません。 ベストアルバム収録／シングル曲も全てよろしいのですけれども、 それも含めて７曲目を推します。 最初、何のことを本質的にうたっているのか、ぴんと来なかったのです。 何度目か聞き流していた時、本当に「音楽がおりて来た」気になりました。 この1曲で価値はあります。 彼女の作品はどこか中途半端で未完成な点が魅力的なので、満点はつきません。

衝撃でした。
一曲目から歌手の歌の力に圧倒されて・・・世界に引きずり込まれる感覚でしょうか。
単に自虐的になってるだけの人には伝わらない、小谷さんの深い「傷」に、ただただ垂れるのみ・・・。
へヴィーなものがへヴィーなまま鳴ってしまっているので、BGMにはなりません。（長所ではあるが、ある意味で短所でもある）
このメロディーと歌の力に、こちらも全力で耳を集中しましょう。
一番好きな曲は「左手」。ひさしぶりに全てのアルバムを揃えたくさせた音楽家です。
