そりゃヴェルヴェット・リヴォルヴァーの方が話題性はあるだろうし、一般受けするクオリティを備えてはいるが、ロック魂はこちらのアルバムの方が漲ってはいないか？　ガンズは、スラッシュという鬼才を同じくらいの個性を持った鬼才たちの中に置くことで、上手く中和していた。だが、この作品は（ソロなのだから当然だが）スラッシュの独壇場。ごり押しのロックが次から次へとひねり出される。勢いは猪突猛進なのに、決してストレートではなく、どこか陰のある楽曲は、ガンズでは聴けなかったものだ。渋いブルーズ風味も恰好良い。ザック・ワイルド好きにもお勧めだ。

元GN'RのスラッシュがGN'R在籍時に発表したソロプロジェクトのアルバム。この楽曲の中にGN'R用の物も入っていたといった揉め事が起こった事もあるように、内容はアクセル・ローズが歌えばGN'Rのアルバムになるといっても過言ではないアルバム。

このアルバムでのボーカルもアクセル・ローズを髣髴とさせる鋭い切れ味のボーカルで、代替物として以上にスラッシュがGN'Rでどのような役割を果たしていたのかをじっくりと知る事が出来る一枚です。

特筆すべきは同じく元GN'Rで、バンド在籍時にはオリジナルの楽曲を提供していなかったギルビー・クラークが、その幅広い楽曲センスを存分に発揮しているところです。
スラッシュファンのみならず、GN'Rのファンも是非とも手にとっていただきたい一枚になっています。

アクセル欠席なので、ガンズをやりました。そうしたら来日までしちゃいました。ソロプロジェクトが本家を越えそうになった瞬間です。
ジェリーフィッシュのメンバーが意外にボーカリストにはまっております。１０点中８点。レスポールひきまくっております。
実家壊滅。分家ではじける。
