何故にこれほどの知名度を持ち、極めて秀逸な作品がＤＶＤ化されないのでしょう。星の数など５つでも到底足りない。圧倒的に濃いい作品。２０年も前にはじめて観て以来、ずっと心に残っている映画である。間違いなくメリル・ストリープの代表作のひとつであり、これを観ずしてメリル・ストリープを語ることなど絶対にできない。高くて結構。そういう映画であるので、ＤＶＤ化されれば、即買います。

　メリル･ストリープの大熱演！大名演と、名手、ネストール・アルメンドロスの映像美。それなのに、レンタルもほとんど見られず、ＤＶＤ化の気配もない。一体どうして･･･？
　鼻にかかった独特の話しぶりが特徴のストリープだが、この映画でのポーランド人ぶりときたら、ただもう圧倒されるばかりのすごさ。ポーランド語、ドイツ語、訛りのある英語。しかし、語学の努力だけではない。彼女演じるソフィーには、常に過去の悪夢が蘇っては消え、苦しめていた。表情の巧みさにかけても文句のつけようがない。
　アカデミー賞をあげたぐらいでは始末がつかないほどのメリル。是非、見て欲しい作品だ。Ｍ．ハムリッシュの音楽も控えめながら秀逸だ。

他の方も書いておられるように、どうして日本語版やＤＶＤがないのか不思議である。こんなすぐれた作品を放っておくなんて、あまりにもったいない。メリル・ストリープもケビン・クラインも素晴らしい。アメリカではＤＶＤがありますが、英語字幕はありません。原作はウイリアム・スタイロンの同名小説。(James)

大学時代、映画館に2度も足を運んで見た唯一の映画です。・・衝撃でした・・多くの人に見てほしいからDVDにしてください!ぜひともm(__)m

名作。公開当時も現在見ても変わらない輝きを持つ名作。
本当にどうしてDVD化されていないんでしょう？
