甲斐バンドの過去のシングルAB面を発売順に収録した2枚組CD。「昨日鳴る鐘の音」、「東京の一夜」のシングルカットバージョン、「くだけたネオンサイン」のライブバージョンなど初CD化の作品もあり、ファン必聴の作品集です。特に甲斐さんのハスキーボイスが一際引き立つ「くだけたネオンサイン」のライブバージョンには感激しました。

　まだ甲斐バンドのシングルが「レコード」で出ていた頃、今回のようなフォーマットの「LP」がリリースされないかなぁ、とずっと思ってました。CDの時代になり、やっとその念願がかなって正直嬉しいです。全てのシングルのジャケットの縮小版が付いているので、一生懸命レコードを買っていた頃の想い出が走馬灯のようによぎりました。「汽笛の響き」の切り裂くようなギター、今聞いても最高にイカシてます。

うちの女房は昔から大の甲斐バンドファン。
最近は小２の次男が影響されて，自分で選んだベスト版を作らされています。
このＣＤの選曲，結構納得のいく選曲だと思います。
甲斐バンドを知らない人でも，甲斐バンドの良さがわかること間違い無し！
と、女房が言ってます（個人的には「この夜にさよなら」と「誘惑」があれば十分」）。
レビューを書かれたシルクのドレスさん、あなたの思い出の曲は、甲斐バンドではなく、甲斐よしひろのソロアルバム「翼あるもの」に入っている「マドモアゼルブルース」です（女房即答）。
