解散が発表された後、リリースとなった初めてのベストアルバム２枚組。

シングルをメインとした白と、ライブで定番の激しいナンバー中心の黒。
併せて聴くと、これほどまで楽曲のスタイルが変わるバンドも珍しいのではないかと思います。
特に初期のヴィジュアル色残る曲と後期のパンキッシュな曲を聴くと同じバンドとはにわかに信じがたいものがあります。
それでもやはり「黒夢」なのは清春氏の独特の歌い方と詩、そして人時氏のベースラインでしょう。

リアルタイムで黒夢を知らない方に是非オススメしたい作品です。
黒のエンディングは、まるでこれから新しい黒夢が始まるのではないかと、
そう思ってしまうほど、リアルな彼らの音が詰まっています。

言わずもがな、日本屈指のロックユニット黒夢の事実上ラストアルバムとなってしまいました。ベスト版にも関わらず、ビジュアル系と言われた時代の曲は、あまり入っていません。そして気になるのはライブで必ずオープニングで歌う『FAKESTAR』が、最後に収録されているのです。聴いていて、あれ?今からライブ始まるのでは?みたいな気持ちになってしまいます。とにかく、収録曲は捨て曲無しなので、中古でもレンタルでもいいから聴いてみてください。

言わずもがな、日本屈指のロックバンド、黒夢。このベストアルバムが事実上彼らの最後の作品となってしまいましたが、ベストな割に、初期の“ヴィジュアル系”と呼ばれていた頃の曲はほとんど収録されていないのが特徴ではないでしょうか。あと気になるのはライブのオープニングの『FAKESTAR』がなぜか最後に収録されてるところかな。一瞬、これからライブが始まるのでは??という錯覚に陥ります。ま、とにかく捨て曲一切無しの名盤です。ロックファン必聴なので、中古でも良いから聴いてみてちょ。
