Laputaと言えばこのアルバム…という人も多いのではないだろうか。前作、絵斑までの「ダークな毒」というイメージから、「毒を孕んだ美しい光」というイメージに移行したかのような印象を受ける。麝香、ケミカルリアクションとaki独特のシャウトナンバーから、一転してroseという落ち着いた（と思わせておいて毒々しい）曲に続いていく冒頭が印象的だ。

　中でも、特におすすめしたいのは五曲目「裂かれて二枚~Hallowed Lucifer~」。junjiの作曲した曲だが、ものすごくシンプルな曲調と歌詞、kouichiのうねりにうねるソロ、そしてラストの荘厳なシンセサウンドがこの上ない魅力を持っている。是非、一度聞いて欲しいナンバーだ。

Laputaのアルバムの中でも一番オリエンタルな雰囲気というか、
すごくアート性の高い作品だと思います。

『「こんなの聴いたことないでしょ？」という世界観を提示したかった(Kouichi)』

というだけあって、1曲1曲が異彩を放っている。
１曲目のタイトル曲「麝香」からその世界観に引き込まれます。
ブックレットもきれいです。
また、
曲名に「麝香~musk~」「揺れながら･･･~Swing Sway Away~」
のように英語のサブタイトルが付いているのが面白い。

個人的には「ケミカルリアクション」「裂かれて２枚」「白昼夢」
などがオススメです。

ビジュアル系侮るなかれ。凡百のつまらぬバンドが多いなか、彼らは違いました。HM/HRが基本になっているのかな?ハードな音像が心地よい。クセのある声を受け入れられるかが、好き嫌いの分かれ目でしょう。演奏もうまいです。
