　年を取っても古さを感じさせないジュリーの歌は、30代に入ったばかりの自分にも響くものがあり、黄金期のは数作持っている。時代がニューミュージックに移行してからの作品はあまりチェックしてなかったのだが、シングル・オンリーの曲で1つ、非常に気に入っていた曲があった。俳優業に挑戦し、凄腕のディーラー役を務めたドラマの主題歌「ストレンジャー/Stranger (Only Tonight)」である。アルバム未収録曲だったため、長いことCD化されず、そのうち諦めて忘れてしまったのだ。インターネットが普及し、先日、何気なく検索してみて、このベスト盤の存在を知った。「しまった！」（by 金田一耕助役の豊川悦司）という感じだ。

　収録曲をよく見ると、「TOKIO」、「渚のラブレター」、「ス・ト・リ・ッ・パ・ー」などCDフォーマットでも揃えておきたい代表曲がズラリ。

好きな方が買い直しをして最終的にストックするアルバム。
長い間、大スターなので顔写真とかよりも黒いジャケットがレア物にしているみたいですね。

ジュリーのシングル集のvol.2で、多分vol.1の方が圧倒的に売れただろう。DISK1では人気が下降していった頃の、DISK2では一般に知られていない曲が聞ける。
この頃の歌謡界は、１０代はアイドル、２０代はニューミュージック、ロック、３０代以上は演歌、的な色分けが暗黙の内に出来上がってたようで当時３０代だったジュリーには居場所は無かったのかもしれない。
