~　Great3の3rdアルバム。片寄とショコラの結婚を最後に大人のバンドになってしまうが、「片寄の絶望との対峙+高桑白根のポップ感覚」が絶妙にからみあった初期3部作の1枚。
　全体的には地味な印象だが、一曲一曲がとても重たく、切実な思いが伝わってくる。
歌詞は極限までダイレクトになり、絶望の縁までいってしまっている。M8（loveman）の「だれかと比べてほ~~しい」なんて、狂気寸前である。
サウンド面では、明るい曲調は少なく、高桑白根のインストが曲間を埋めてゆく。重い曲調の中で、M7（マイウェイ）・M12（there is nothing more to say）で救われる。
　皮肉にも、最終曲M12（there is nothing more to~~ say）の題名通り、この曲を最後に片寄は、自らのもがき苦しむ姿を歌詞にしなくなってしまった。
　ポップアルバムとしてどうかは別として、表現者の作品として一級品。~

多分このアルバムが一番の傑作だと考えられているのだろう。実際グレート３を好きな人ならば間違いなく名曲に挙げる｢影」を含め、今までの感情を極限までに高めたアルバムである。だがこのアルバムは最初に聴くには適していない。今までの彼らの歌詞を読み取り、理解していなければ何故このようなことを歌うのか正しく理解してもらえないと思うのだ。グランジという音楽表現が彼らの感情をむき出しにする作用を引き起こしたのだろう。グランジを吸収して一番深いところへ潜った彼らは、次作から他の方法で音楽と歌詞(感情)の融合を目指した。

この作品を最高傑作と呼ぶG3ファンは意外に多いのでは?制作前、片寄はbloodthirsty butchersの名盤「kocorono」に心酔していたという。「kocorono」での吉村は底深くもがき苦しみそれでも前に倒れ込んでいるが、この作品での片寄はただ荒涼とした心象風景がラストまで続く。ただ言えるのは、どちらも感動的に生身のRock'n Rollである。
