ソロで一貫して「大人の恋愛」な音楽を作っている幸宏さんだが、このアルバムは痛いくらい切なく、
大人、あるいは若いと言った年代感がないという意味で異色かも知れない。

タイトルと重ね合わされた８曲目を代表として、冬の凛とした空気のような澄んだ印象を与える、
幸宏さんのソロの中でも屈指のアルバムの一つである。

１曲目ニールヤングのカヴァーに癒され、２曲目は心に滲みます。３曲目は王道。４曲目の透明感はまるでプリファブスプラウト。５曲目の『空気吸うだけ（作詞：森雪之丞、作曲：ビートニクス）』にぐっさりやられました。最高です。あと６曲目はスティーヴジャンセンとのコラボ。８、９曲目もビートニクスのコンビ。ということで、星だらけです。

中学生の頃かな、ＹＭＯを聞いたのは。同級生の多くはこのＹＭＯがすばらしいと言っていた。だけどボクは沢田研二や久保田早紀のほうが好きだった。あれから１０数年経って、このＣＤと出会った。当時から現在に至るまで、ほとんど聴くことはないのだが。唯一、「震える惑星」だけは気にいったかな。でも、高橋幸宏さんのファンにとってはすばらしい作品であることは、間違いないことでしょう。
