「Hello,my friend」、「春よ、来い」という大ヒットシングルが２曲も収録されているからか、そのシングル以外の曲はどうも印象が薄いというか、大作があまり無いかな…という感じです。
が、名曲発見！6曲目の「GET AWAY」、これは近年になく、ポップでキャッチー、明るいユーミンソングが好きという人には最適。詞も曲も明るく、最高です。今恋をしている人、ほろ苦い恋を思い出したい人、勇気がほしい全ての人必聴！

　同名のNHK連続テレビ小説主題歌「春よ、来い」。フジ・ドラマ「君といた夏」主題歌「Hello, my friend」の両シングルを中心とする1994年作。但し、両方とも、シングルとは別ミックス。

　大ヒットした「春よ、来い」の素晴らしさは、もはや言うまでもないだろう。リリカルなピアノに導かれた和風のメロディーは完璧だ。エンディングに童謡「春よ来い」をフィーチャーしたAlbum Mix。

　「Hello, my friend」は失った友人に宛てた「Good-bye friend」が原型。当初はこれが主題歌の予定だったが、ドラマの雰囲気に合わせてヴァース部分を書き換えている。一部が共通しているのはこの為。

　両シングルにばかり注目が集まるが、このアルバムには、もう1つ名曲が存在する。それが「砂の惑星」である。シングル化されなかったのは勿体ない、傑作だ。実はこれもドラマ主題歌（TBS「私の運命」）である。主人公の女性に、次々と不幸が襲いかかるお話で、坂井真紀・野際陽子・東幹久らが出演。暗い物語によく似合う、悲しげでエキゾチックな作風。

　♪月の砂漠を行く　♪遠い異国のキャラバンのように
　♪この世の果てまでも　♪あなたについて歩いて行くわ

もの悲しいAヴァースと、囁くようなBヴァースが交互に配置される曲で、明確なコーラスがないのに良い曲なのだ。「隠れた名曲」を探している人は、是非。
