ストーリーをきちんと知らずに聴いたのですが、とても感動しました。
台詞がほぼ歌になっているということもあって、場面と場面のつながりもわかりやすかったです。
また本田美奈子.さんのキムがとてもかわいらしく、力強く、実際に客席で観たかったと思えるような歌声でした。特に「命をあげよう」が素晴らしかったです。
パンフレットにも詳しいストーリーが載っていて、歌詞も全曲掲載されていました。
舞台を観たことがない人でも、十分楽しめると思います。

ライヴ盤ということで、いろいろと評価が分かれていますが、私は、ライヴ盤でよかったと思っています。

英語版（Lea Salongaさん、Joanna Ampilさん）ドイツ語版と、それぞれにとてもすきなのですが、この帝劇ライヴ盤は、何しろ、迫力、スピード感が圧倒的です！　やはり、ライヴでないと、このような迫力感･臨場感は難しいのかもしれません。目を閉じると、本当に劇場にいるような気分になります。

この初演版の「私の小さな神」は、去年上演されたものとは、まったく違う曲です。この初演版の曲は、他のＣＤでは聞くことができませんので、そのような意味でも、貴重だと思います。

本田美奈子.さんは、何度も「いのちをあげよう」を歌っているが、その度ごとに、スタイルを大きく変えていた。この曲の持てる可能性をすべて引き出そうとしていたのかもしれない。そうした、彼女が遺した録音の中で、舞台の実況録音を収めた、この「いのちをあげよう」は、オーケストラをぐいぐい引っ張り歌い上げるその力と、鬼気迫る感情のほとばしりという点で、他の追随を許さない歴史的名歌唱となった。（ゆっくりと情感を込めて歌うスタジオ録音版を好む人もいるようだが、舞台のこの緊迫の場面にはそぐわないことは明らかだろう。）実際の舞台を見た人の中には、いや、私が聞いた時は、もっと凄かったという人も多い。それらが、録音として残されなかったことは、誠に残念である。また、関係者の記録用の映像しか残っておらず、当時の舞台映像が発売されることもないらしい。よって、このCDが彼女の舞台に最も肉迫できる手段となってしまった。
