このアルバムで有名な曲というと普通、パルコのCMにも使われた「showroomdummies」だと思うけど、自分は中学の時、音楽室で友達と聞いた「EUROPE ENDLESS」が忘れられない。

反復するシーケンサーが少しづつ盛り上がりを見せて、その最高潮の時にエレクトロニックパーカッションが入るそのタイミングは実にかっこよくて、何回も聞いたものです。しかし、他の曲もこれまでより実験的ではない分、聞きやすく、クオリティーも高いと思います。

おそらくこのアルバムはクラフトワークが日本で爆発的に有名になるきっかけになった一枚だろう。基本的には、収録曲名にも表れたとおり、ヨーロッパ地域の歴史の深さ・永続性・不変性を根底に織り込んでいる。＃１ ヨーロッパ・エンドレスで始まり、＃７ エンドレス・エンドレスで終了するまで、ふと聞き手も時間の経過を忘れる催眠術のような構成だが、圧巻はやはり＃４ ヨーロッパ特急 だろう。アルバム「アウトバーン」で行った音声（楽）による描写はさらに冴え、迫りくる機関車、去り行く列車、鉄橋を渡るシーン、沿線の工事風景など様々な情景を彷彿とさせるテクニックには恐れ入るしかない。まるで無限の時間の中を列車に乗って旅したような気持ちにさせてくれる。また、アルバム全体もそうだが、＃３ ショールーム・ダミー は、それまでテクノという言葉でくくられていた、音作りが実験的で難解なジャンルを凌駕し、もはやダンス・ミュージックに見まごうほどのポップさを具現した歴史的な一曲だ。

本作と次作（MAN-MACHINE）は単にクラフトワークの最高傑作というだけでなく、ロック史上の金字塔として不朽でありましょう。
The Hall of Mirrorsのシュールな雰囲気は他に類例のないものですし、ここからあの有名な美しいThe Showroom Dummiesのイントロに流れて行きます。ポップなThe Showroom DummiesからメカニックなTrans-Europe Expressへとつながり、自然にMetal on Metalへと接続してゆく。このシークエンスは何ものにも代え難いテクノポップの最高峰だと思われます。
