彼らがなぜ一発屋なのか？本当に当時を知っている人の発言なのか？
確かに一番売れたのは２曲目の「Too Shy」だが、UKでは6が７位、8が１３位、次のアルバムの1stシングル「Big Apple」が８位になっている。
日本でも2ndアルバム「Islands」はかなり売れたはずである。
当時、リマールが脱退してからも「夜のヒットスタジオ」に出たり、来日公演も盛り上がっていた。

それがなぜ９０年代以降一発屋の代名詞みたいに扱われなければならないのか？

このアルバムは決して2だけではない。非常にいい曲が揃っている。
でも、実は彼らの最高傑作はCD化されていない2ndのほうなんだけどね。

デュラン・デュランと同時期にデビューし、当時からよく比較されていた。
シンセサイザー、シモンズのドラム、グラマラスなルックスということで共通点もあるが、優れた音楽センスと演奏力（レコードを聞く限り）を有し、楽曲のメロディや、フレーズは彼らの個性が十分に出た傑作アルバムと言える。

後にリードヴォーカルのリマールが脱退し、ベースのニックベッグズがヴォーカルを兼任するようになり、さらに幅広い音楽性を発揮するが、楽曲からすると、このデビューアルバムの方が上かも。TOO SHYをはじめ、キーボード・プレイヤーのセンスの良さを感じることができる。80年代前半　イギリス出身のポップスの中で重要な位置を占める作品。

カジャグーグーはベストを聞かずともこれがあれば大体分かる気がする
ボクは最近カジャグーグーのファンになった、世間の認識は一発屋で、
見られている、デュラン・デュランの弟分（バックアップで）として
デビュー、Too Shyの大ヒット、から転落への道筋はあまりにも短い。
リマールもネバーエンディングストーリーのテーマが当たった後は、

ヒットは無いみたい、両者一発屋となったわけであった・・・。
このアルバムはカジャグーグー最初で最後の傑作、Too Shyだけでなく
Uh To Be AhやHang on nowも売れたポップチューンなすばやい展開の曲にも、ウェットな感じが入っていて、一発屋としてみるには、あまりに

もったいない技術を持ち、アンラッキーな若者たちはスターダムから姿を消した、そう、スターダムにいた頃の彼らの音楽がつめられている。
