多分、世の大人が聴く"おしゃれな音楽"とはこんな感じなのだろうなぁ、、と思い、H.RやPunkを聴く悪友とは全く話の合わないこれを聴いていたことを思い出します (^^;
リアルタイムで聴いたのは、もう20年以上も前(中学生の頃)です。
＃因みに、本作は('83年作)です。
正直、"トゥルー"がいつでも聴けるようにと思って買い直しました。
G.ケンプ(g、key)のライティング・センスが最高潮に達していたのがこの頃なのかも知れません。いつ聴いてもいいですね。ネオ・ロマンティクスここに極まれリ、って感じで(^^;

1982年10月、ナッソー・バハマ・コンパス・ポイント・スタジオで録音。この頃のロンドンは、クイーン筆頭に新しいポップ・カルチャーのバンドが続々と現れ、それこそびっくり箱の中のように元気に溢れていた。スパンダー・バレエもその中で現れたバンドの一つで、何といってもトニー・ハードレィのボーカルが素晴らしかった。
このアルバムの最後の曲『True』を聴いてもらいたい。80年代の香りいっぱいのポップ・ナンバーだ。リマスターされて今聴いても十分響く。名盤!
