メロディーは、エンヤもさることながら、アディエマスを思い起こさせる。クリスチャン・ミュージックとあって、歌詞は聖書の影響を醸し出している。しかしながら、宗教的な直接表現はほとんどなく、BGMに非常に使いやすくしている。メロディの落ち着いた感じと美しさが、歌詞と一体となって、太陽がやわらかくさす草原の中で天から聞こえてくる雰囲気を漂わせ、心に安らぎを与えさせる。11曲とあって、曲数的に少し物足りないない気がするが，それでも、一つ、一つ丁寧な仕上がりで、すべての曲がとてもきれいである。また、旋律やムードにまとまりがあり、アルバム全体としての一貫性も評価できる。

今回紹介するのは、オーストラリア出身のシンガー・ソングライター、ミッシェル・トゥームスのデビュー・アルバム。

女性ヴォーカルマニアの中学時代の友人のオススメでゲットしたアルバムなんだけど、これがイイ！

音楽性はずばり、ヒーリング・ポップス。特にエンヤが好きな人には絶対オススメ。エンヤをよりポップス寄りにし、どこか宗教的な厳かさを湛えたメロディは、日々の喧騒に疲れた心を癒してくれるハズ。

まあ宗教的な響きを持つのも、彼女がクリスチャン畑の人間だからかもしれないが、この音楽のクオリティは、狭い世界にとらわれることなく、もっと多くの人に聴いてもらえることを切に祈りたい。
