個人の言葉や理屈では達し得ない深い深い心の領域にPOPsで絵を描くと私の場合Pet Soundsになるんですね。
生きていると悲しい事が沢山あるのですが…行き場を失った心の終着点にこのAlbumを聴くとやたら光ます。
1曲1曲がグレーの空に時々逆行された光が走る瞬間の美しさに似て、心に永遠に刻まれ、♪となって心の中に留まったり致します。
死ぬまで聴けるアルバムはそうはありません。もはや文字というツールは何の意味もなく、…ただ聴くのみ…お薦めです。

天才ブライアン・ウィルソンの最高傑作。
当時その今までのビーチ・ボーイズのイメージ（サーフィン、水着の女の子等）から明らかに脱色しかけ放てていたこのアルバムはレコード会社にも仲間にもファンにも酷評されセールス面でも惨敗だった。

だが時がたつにつれこのアルバムの評価が高まり去年のローリング・ストーン誌に偉大なアルバムでビートルズの「サージェント・ペパーズ・ロンリー・ハーツ・クラブ・バンド」に続き２位に選ばれたことがこのアルバムの全てを物語っている。

ビートルズのサージェントペッパーズが出るまでのほんの短い間、ロック史上最高のアルバムだったのがこの１枚。サーフィンと車の歌ばかりだったビーチボーイズとは雰囲気違うけど、「スループ・ジョン・Ｂ」などで絶妙のコーラスが聞けます。
