桂枝雀を知らずして、日本のお笑いは語れない!
日本の落語界にあって、独特なみぶり手ぶりによる芸風と、英語落語というまったく新しい分野を切り開いた桂枝雀。
皆が同じ演目を競い合う古典落語の中にあって、独特の枕、ハイトーンの巻き舌による英単語、大げさに体全身を使ったアクションは、斬新でいて、なおかつ基本に忠実です。
現在テレビなどで活躍中の上方のお笑い芸人の全ての基本が、ここに凝縮されています。

『大阪サンケイホール』にて収録

枝雀落語の「死んだオバン(おばあさん)もいうとったな、『お前ももう少しもの覚えがよかったら普通の人間や』」というセリフではありませんが、今日では分りにくいことがらを多く土台にしたこの『くしゃみ講釈』をこれだけの大爆笑落語に仕上げた桂枝雀はまさに「普通の人間やない」ということになります。

本来、『鴻池の犬』という題名は観客にとりまして、あまり親切な演題とはいえないでしょう。
つまり事前に観客にネタばれ(噺の内容が分ってしまう)してしまうおそれのある演目だからです。
ペーソスのある、フッと涙がこぼれそうになる、枝雀落語の名作です。

一時期、枝雀師はマクラをほとんど省略、噺の導入部分も省いていきなり噺の本題に入るというスタイルをとっておられました。このくしゃみ講釈がそれです。テレビの放送枠を気にされたのでしょうかか、それとも「ごじゃごじゃ」無駄なことを話すことに疲れてしまわれたのでしょうか。米朝師のくしゃみ講釈に慣れてしまった自分にはどうしても違和感が残ります。

一方で、鴻池の犬はたっぷりとマクラを語っておられます。サゲの仕込みもぬかりなく行われており、こういうのを「名演」というのだと思います。それにしても、枝雀師の演ずる動物、可愛いですよ！

「くしゃみ講釈」
講釈師の上演会場に行って、クシャミが出るような嫌がらせをしに行く男の話。
もちろん、会場に行く前の悪だくみ部分で、
嫌がらせのための仕込み用品を買い物に行くのに
相当物覚えの悪い男が、まごまごする部分で相当笑わされます。

そして、いざ、講釈開始すると、その仕込みによって
クシャミが止まりません。
そのクシャミの熱演ぶりといったら・・・
ＤＶＤで映像が無くてもＣＤだけで十分面白い、凄すぎる！
つまりラジオでも面白いという事である。
そういう意味でも天才であったと思う。

２つ目のネタは、人情噺。
くしゃみ講釈とは真逆の内容です。
この組合せのＣＤもスゴイなｗ
