ハンガリア狂詩曲の第６番がほしくＣＤを探し回りやっとみつけた１枚です。リスト演奏者として名だたる他の方々のＣＤにも６番が入ったものはなかなかみつけられませんでした。６番も曲としてはポピュラーですが難易度がことさら高いのか、同じくポピュラーな２番または１５番のように録音されることは少なかったのかもしれません。聴きたかった６番どころかハンガリア狂詩曲を全曲聴くことができるるだけでも価値のある１枚といえます。

ハンガリー人であるシフラはリストの再来といわれた名ピアニスト。ハンガリー動乱による亡命直後に録音された幻の演奏がＣＤとして手にいれられるなんてほんとに夢のようです。２１世紀の世代にまで演奏を聴かせてくれてありがとうと、お墓のなかのシフラに申し上げたいです。

「ハンガリー狂詩曲」は、第２番は日本で大有名なように、日本人ウケしやすい曲集のようです。だから、それが一気に全部聴けるこのＣＤは得のようにも思えます。
しかし、シフラは、非常にクセのある弾き方ですし、音も良くない（雑音が入っていて、ヘッドホンなどで聴くとかなり気になります）ので、あまりお勧めはできません。
