アルド・チッコリーニはもっともっと評価されていいピアニストだと思う。なんといっても弾いて、選んでいる曲がいつも素晴らしい。その典型がサティだろう。エリック・サティが、今これほど人気が定着したことの一番の貢献者はなんといってもアルド・チッコーリニだし、日本では高橋悠治・アキ兄妹だ。

弾きだしてからまさに空間が色づくような名演である。むしろインテリアの一部のような音楽だ。無視も意識もできる音楽。これぞブライアン・イーノ言うところのアンビェント・ミュージックの起源と思える。

これから音楽を聴いていく子供たちにも勧めたい。
