RCの時からチャボのつくる世界感に共鳴していました。（ビートポップスのハイウェイのお月様とか）寂しがり屋の自閉症って言うか．．．私はこのアルバムはチャボの完全な私小説と解釈していました。全曲好きですが後半の（昔はＢ面）の流れは懐かしい青春映画を見終わった様な不思議な感動を何度聞いてもおぼえます。ぜひ聞いてください。

発売当時、どれだけ聞いたかわからないアルバム。吐き出さなきゃいられないものがたくさんチャボにはあったんだろう。軽薄に浮かれてたあの時代に見事なまでズレていて、青臭く武骨なまるで十代のような苛立ちや感傷にひどく共感していた。
RCのチャボというイメージそのものでその後の幅広い音楽性は見られないけれど、逆にこういうアプローチを今ではしなくなったのが残念。ONE NIGHT BLUESの凄いギターのように時に暴発してほしい! 僕にとってはニールヤングの「今宵その夜」のような存在のアルバム。

満を持して発表された、仲井戸麗市ファースト・ソロ。それまでもアルバムの中に1曲はチャボの歌う作品が入ってて（「グローリィデイズ」や「ハイウェイのお月様」、「チャンスは今夜」「ブルドッグ」・・・）、これがまたかっこよくって好きだった。

「THE仲井戸麗市BOOK」と名付けただけあって、怒り（というか、取るに足らない欲求不満）をストレートにぶちまけた1や6（今のチャボは全然怒りの表現をしないだけに・・・）、一方で4みたいにかわいらしいチャボならではのラブソングがあったり、清志郎のコーラスもばっちりでRCばりにロックな7や、ブルースの10、さらに、チャボの永遠のテーマである、過ぎ去った夏の日の記憶を辿るインストの11、などなどチャボの要素がすべて吐き出された名作です。
