84年作。個性派シンガーソングライター越美晴（コシミハル）の傑作。細野晴臣プロデュースのテクノポップサウンド。どこかアンニュイで可憐な歌声。あくまでお上品で優雅な語り口を装うのだが、不可思議でシュール、耽美的・倒錯的な、狂気を秘めた詩世界は独特の美意識を感じさせる。非常に魅惑的。
「龍宮城の恋人」はシンプルでポップ。この曲だけわりと普通。「Capricious Salad」はかなり猟奇的で倒錯した詩世界。明るい曲調、無邪気で愛らしい歌声とのギャップが、かえって病的で怖い。食卓の上に裸の美少年を横たえ、白い肌にフォークを突き刺す。人食。血生臭く美しい、歪んだ快楽。「IMAGE」はSM、奴隷、調教といった言葉が連想されそうな危ない世界観だが、ドロドロ感が無く、あくまで淡々として乾ききっていて、虚無感がある。「サン・タマンの森で」はBarbaraのシャンソンのカバー。和訳して歌う。童謡のような、どこか懐かしい歌メロ。後半はピアノが不穏に乱れていく。「メフィストフェレスを探せ」はノリが良い。男たちを弄び、はべらせ、首輪をつけて。なかなか凄いことを、サラッと無邪気に歌う。間奏のピアノがカッコイイ。「逃亡者」はもの悲しく静謐な名曲。うつろで寂しげな歌声が、ジワジワ心に染みてくる。精神を病み、心を閉ざしたキミ。涙が枯れ果てたボク。「誰かと幸せでいるより、キミとだけ不幸でいいから」切なく悲痛な詩があまりにも印象的。「パラレリズム」は無機質かつ神秘的。ミイラに語りかけている？何とも言えぬ孤独感があり、透き通った歌声が妙に切なく響く。「Decadence120」はエキゾチックな曲調。危険な刹那の快楽。「薔薇の夜会〜あるいは甘い蜜の戒め」は荘厳で幻想的。思わずため息が出そうな、近寄りがたく気高い美しさがある。

4.0 out of 5 stars まさに「耽美派テクノ」です, 2004/9/12
「耽美派テクノ」というだけあって、なんだかすごいな、という位引き込まれます。曲ももちろん全体的に妖しげな雰囲気に統一されているのが特徴であり、そこがいいところです。ジャケットデザインもそんな雰囲気を出していますよ。

歌詞があぶない感じで、わりとポップなアレンジと可愛いめのボーカルなのに、歌っている内容はまさに耽美的な感じで満ちています！私はこのギャップが意外で、聴いているとけっこう楽しい感じで気持ちいいです。
