伝説のアルト奏者、阿部薫。
彼のアルバムはすべてにおいて魂がこめられているのだが、
このアルバムに収録されておる、「アカシアの雨がやむとき」は
別格。阿部のレパートリーの中でも各段の輝きを誇っていたこの曲は、
阿部の悲壮感との風合いを試していた。阿部の魂の燃焼を極限まで
高めた曲です。これを聞かずして阿部は語れない。
