1988年公開の黒沢清監督、伊丹十三指揮で、同伊丹氏と宮本信子（マルサの女等）、
山城新伍、古館伊知郎、NOKKOなどが出演しており
まるで日本映画とは思えない程の、迫力と恐怖の詰まったホラー映画である。

番組撮影の為、故人である画家の住んでいた山奥のとある洋館を訪れた
ＴＶクルーたちに襲いかかる恐怖を描いたホラー。

元々幸せな家族が住んでいた家が、ある事故をきっかけに
恐ろしくも悲しい呪いの館に変わってしまう。
恐ろしい呪いの恐怖と同時に、悲しくも切ない親子愛が背景となっている。

子供の頃に見た時は、そのおどろおどろしい特殊映像と悲しいストーリーに
非常な衝撃を受けた記憶がある。

現在日本のホラー映画では、サスペンス的で静的な幽霊映画が主流だが
この映画は洋画の化け物風の動的で迫力あるホラー映画で
日本でもこんな映画作れたんだと感動を覚えるに違いない。

バイオハザードがこの映画のゲーム版を
元に作られたということで有名な映画です。
（ゲーム版は未プレイですが相当怖いとのことで有名です。）

最初にこれを観たのは小学３年の時で、テレビで正月に
１度だけ放映されました。その前から予告編で観たくて
たまらず、同時期に丹波哲郎の大霊界が放映されていたのを
覚えています。

内容は日本映画でありながら西洋の匂いがプンプンしてきて
チープな匂いがしません。一種独特の世界観が構築されており
観終わった後の後味が、異国の別世界から帰ってきたような
感覚で、これは岩井俊二のスワロウテイルを見終わった後にも
同じような感覚を感じました。２作品とも日本であって日本ではない
世界の構築という点においてチープにならずに成功しているように思います。

恐怖の観点からは、小さい頃は古館氏が半分にされる有名なシーンに
圧倒され、どこか格好良く、そのマネをして友達に変態扱いされました。

全体的にバイオのような世界観を存分に味わうための映画だと
思うので違う世界を体験したい人には打ってつけの映画だと
思います。西洋的な恐怖もかなりあるのでリングとは違った恐怖を
味わいたい人にもオススメです。

全員の演技がヘタ。
なぜにノッコを使ったかわからない。

完璧に期待はずれだった。
