とんでもない「お金持ち」や、「お金儲け」をする人は、脱税したくなるものです。
伊丹監督は、国税局査察部査察官と、地上げ屋との抗争をビビッドに描いて、
我々に衝撃を与えてくれました。

「ラブホテルの売り上げは、シーツの洗濯枚数を数える」なんて、どうやって
取材したのだろうと思います。

また、この映画のいい所は、地上げ屋を一方的に悪とせず、ラストシーンで
彼らの考えを伝えるところです。

今は「地上げ」なんてなくなった言葉ですが、この映画は、日本映画の代表として屹立する金字塔だと思います。

是非DVD化を期待いたします。

国税査察官と脱税者との闘い？を描いた映画です。私自身、会計事務所で働いているので、大変興味深い内容でした。ありとあらゆる方法で、なんとか税金を逃れようとする脱税者に対して、時には毅然とした態度で、時には人情で渡り合う主人公の姿に、国税査察官の仕事の厳しさを感じました。立場は違えど、その苦労には共感できます。
決して難しい言葉が飛び交うような映画ではなく、脱税してるかしてないか、どうやって脱税を見抜くかをシンプルに描いた作品です。是非一度ご覧下さい。

社会風俗、金融、なんやかんや。この映画作成以降、そういった映画が山ほど増えた。それまでは邦画と言えば明治の遊郭なんかを舞台にしたものがほとんどだったが、邦画のブレイクスルーになった秀作。十分な取材に元づきよく練られた脚本。立体的な人物像と写るモノの『質感』がクリアで、新鮮さと生々しさを十二分に表現し、明晰に構築した完成度はとても高い。ぜひDVD化を望む一本。
