おいらがこのアルバムを最初に聴いたのは、８３年の再結成ライブ盤（クレイジー・ダイヤモンズ）発売後の、再発盤であった。
その当時でさえ、音がペシャペシャだぁ~と思った程、原盤の録音された当時の技術が古い。言いかえると、サンハウス本来の迫力が伝わって来ません。こんなもんでは無いって気持ちも正直ある。
それを差し引いても素晴らしいサンハウスの楽曲群なのではありますが、この有頂天だけを聴いて、「演奏の迫力がいまいち。」なんて誤解をしてもらいたくもない、複雑な気持ちになる一枚です。

福岡に生まれ育ちバンドを組む人なら避けては通れない大先輩バンドSONHOUSEの７５年に発売になったアルバムです！！　普通、海外のミュージシャンに魅せられてバンドを組みプロを目指しオーディションを受け東京へというパターンが支流ですが、福岡に限ってはSONHOUSEに影響を受けバンドを始めた人が多く、このバンドが活動の拠点を福岡から移さなかったからこそ後のメンタイビートに繋がり現在のROCK　CITY福岡があるのである。　ストーンズがプレイしているR&R、BLUESを見事に日本語の歌詞を乗せプレイしている姿は日本人がR&Rをプレイする上で直面する言葉の壁を取り払い日本のROCK史上に足跡を残したと思うのだがいまいち世間の評価が低いと思うのは私だけだろうか？　１　KINGSNAKE　BLUES　３　風よ吹け　５　レモンティ　６　ロックン　ロールの真最中　８　地獄へドライブ・・・このアルバムを聞けば日本のロックとは何たるかが解ってもらえると思います。

元祖めんたいロックバンドと言われるサンハウスの1stアルバム。やはり必聴でしょう。やたらと意味深な菊の詞と鮎川誠によるギタープレイの創り出す音楽はそれだけでもう「サンハウス」であると思います。名曲「レモンティー」「地獄へドライブ」他収録の11曲。
