（もともと彼らに作曲を依頼し、そして歌った）森山良子、（彼らと同郷の）夏川りみ、そして（テレビ出演の際の、この歌の歌唱が反響を呼んでいる）元ちとせ・・・、といった具合に、ちょっとした「仕掛け」だけではこうはいかないだろうな、といった感じの広がりを見せている、希代の名曲。
個人的にはやっぱり、BEGINのやつがいちばん、しみるのだが。

もちろんBEGINにとっても、大きな位置を占める１曲になってゆくことは確実だろう。

作曲したBEGIN、作詞した森山良子さん、歌い手の夏川りみさん、3曲の「涙そうそう」を手に入れて聞き比べています。どれも味があって、甲乙つけがたいと言うのが本音です。中でも、BEGINは声が聞かせるのでしょうか、沖縄に居る気分にさせてくれました。他のアルバムも聞いてみたいと思います。

夏川りみさんヴァージョンのレビューでも皆さん口を揃えて言ってらっしゃいますが、聞いているだけでジワっと涙があふれてくるんです。旋律といい歌詞といい、心にジーンと響いてきます。女性とは違った男性特有の優しい声、ＢＥＧＩＮの唄に幾度私は癒されたことか・・・。
