　GONTITIの名前は知らなくても、その音楽はTVやラジオのBGMとして多く使われているので誰でも一度は耳にしたことがあると思います。これはGONTITI初のベスト盤で、「Body of Gontiti」と「Spirit of Gontiti」で同時に2枚リリースされました。

　GONTITIは今のように癒し系といわれる音楽がずっと流行る前から私の心を癒し、快適にしてくれます。何となく落ち込んだときに聴くと身体と心に効きます。ずっと前からのお気に入りです。何度聴いても聴きあきることはないですし、二人のギターが心地よいです。

　「Body」にはテンポのよい元気になれる曲が「Spirit」には優しいメロディの曲が多く収録されています。どちらもオススメです。私は自分の心の調子に合わせてこの2枚のCDを聴きわけています。
　この２枚のCDに今のGONTITIの原点があると思っています。

初めてゴンチチを聴く人にとって、このアルバムは「入門篇」でしょう。
また、ゴンチチファンに人気がある事でも有名。
ＣＤショップにはまだ在庫があるので、比較的手に入れやすいアルバムと言えます。
最近もベスト盤が発売されましたがそれはもう少しゴンチチを知ってから買いましょう。
初心者の方はまずここから始めることをお勧めします。

※また、このアルバムに印刷されているエピックマーク、結構気に入っているのですが、
最近は新しいマークになっているので当時のＣＤでしか見ることが出来ません。
そこがレアだと思います。（プレミアもの）

心に効く『SPIRIT　OF　GONTITI』に対し、こちらは『身体に効く』ベストアルバムです。『SPIRIT』と色違いのミック板谷氏デザインのジャケットもいい味を出しています。曲の並び方が個人的には少し不満がありますが、選曲は初期GONTITIのベストアルバムに相応しいものです。
