非常に完成度が高く，聴きやすい教典です。当時レベッカの土橋安騎夫
氏がプロデュースしたことは有名で，前作までの音からの変化は皆さん
言及されている通りです。全体的にシンセが効果的に使用され，捨て曲
ナシかつ各曲の個性が際立っています。

作曲者はエース（4,5,7,10）ルーク（1,3,6）デーモン（2,8,9）ゼノン
（8）とばらけていますが，あらためて良く聴いてみると，エースと
ルークの役割分担ができあがった後期楽曲とは異なり，それぞれが多様
な曲を書いているのがわかります。

ポップで明るい（1,7）ベース炸裂の（2,3,5）ギターが素晴らしい
（5,8,9）ヴォーカルが流石の（4,6）壮大なバラード（10）と聴き所
満載です。

個人的に一番好きなのは（5）のイントロです，トリッキーなギターと
ベースのカラミだけでお腹一杯。全体の印象としては歴代大教典の中で
ゼノンのベースが一番活躍した教典ではないでしょうか。

今更ですがお勧めです。

広がりのある音楽・可能性をそれぞれが求めた結果、できあがったのがこれかと。
当時、CBSソニーで同じレーベル(FITZBEAT)に所属していた、
REBECCAの土橋安騎夫氏をプロデューサーに迎えた一枚。
それまでの『聖飢魔II』という既成概念を破る曲がズラリと並ぶ。
土橋氏のアレンジと、メンバーの息がピッタリ合って、ものすごい完成度を見せている。

テーマは『宇宙』ということで、ハードロックやメタルの枠に囚われることなく、
色々なテイストを大胆に採り入れていて、聞き手に休む暇を与えない。
ポップ調で明るめの曲あり、重金属バリバリの変拍子あり、
メンバーがのびのびと曲作りをしているように感じるのは、
長い聖飢魔IIの歴史の中でも、このアルバムが一番かもしれない。

これ以降、構成員によってはあまり個性を打ち出さなくなったのか、
聴いていて気持ちよい曲が減ったように思う(気のせいかもしれないが)。
練り込みすぎず、自由度もあり、なおかつ総合的な完成度はおそろしく高い。
全ての面においてバランスが取れた、素晴らしいアルバム。

聖飢魔IIの第5教典。
信者の間では、聖飢魔IIの最高傑作といわれている大教典です。
この大教典からキーボードを全面的に取り入れた意欲作。
初心者にも聴き易いのでいろんな人に聴いてほしい名盤。
「WINNER!」や「THE OUTER MISSION」など名曲も収録されています。
またゼノン節が炸裂している曲が多いです。
