彼が得意とする打ち込みサウンドの集大成的な作品です。近作のDearでは、生楽器を完璧にシミュレートした作風ですが、この作品は良い意味で当時のソリッドなデジタルサウンドが炸裂しています。倍音の多いシンセサウンドに埋もれないためか、彼のギターは歪み・コンプともに深めで、ノビのあるディストーションが堪能できます。トラックも佳曲揃い！1では佐藤博のシンセとのバトル、本田雅人のsaxとのユニゾンが気持ちよい3､泣きのギターの4、アコギによるクールなテーマが魅力の5,哀愁漂うテーマがするめ系の味を醸す8､トドメは当時のライブでもEnc前に演っていた9、と聴き所満載、飽きのこないアセンブルです。楽器小僧でなくてもこれは買い！だと思いますよ。

デジタルグルーブが前面に出た打ち込み系のリズムお好きなfusion guitarフリークには、お奨めです。余談ですが、このアルバムに参加している佐藤博さんの「AQUA」というアルバムには、このアルバムのタイトルチューン「TRANSFUSION」が別バージョンで収録されています。確か そのsaxが、今を時めく本田雅人さんだったりします。

佐藤博バージョンのTRANFUSIONは、リードがSAXですが、別レビューにある本田雅人ではなくブランダン・フィールズです。

佐藤博バージョンの方が、テンポが速く、生っぽいです。

いずれにしても、名曲だと思います。
