ずっと聞きたかった「マドラスチェックの恋人」を十数年ぶりに聞けて大感激。本当に海風を頬に感じるようなイントロとラスト。シンプルだけど聖子の隠れた傑作です。こんな名曲がBibleなどのベスト版に入らないなんて信じられないほど。「ロマンス」や「愛されたいの」などいかにも青春って感じで最高でした。聞きたくても聞けなかった曲に久しぶりに巡り会えて涙がでるほど感激しました。

絶頂期の84年に発売のB面コレクション。なぜこれがB面?「Romance」や「制服」名曲です。このアルバムが罪なのは、曲構成が絶妙なこと。まるで寄せ集め感は感じさせず、またこの流れに慣れ過ぎて、シングルで聴くのに違和感を感じたくらい。LP、カセット、CDと全てのフォーマットで購入したくらいの必須アイテムでした。コアな内容ではなくむしろ初心者にも良いかも。

あちこちで探し回りました。LPはあるのですが、音質・機材劣化してしまったのでCDをさがしていました。「制服」や「蒼いフォトグラフ」のように他のアルバムで聞くこともできる曲も少なくありませんが、個人的には「ロマンス」が最高だと思います。そして私の知る限りこのアルバムでしか聞けません。
