　X(エックス) の代表曲。というよりも X そのものと言った方が良いほどの、絶対的な名曲である。悲痛な旋律と激しい詞、高音ヴォーカルに疾走するビート。この曲を抜きにして、X というバンドは成立しない。

　ヴァース(Aメロ)を全て前半に固め、長い間奏の後、徹底的にコーラス(サビ)を繰り返す攻撃的な構成。それでいて血を流す失恋を歌う詞は文学性十分。イントロ以外は全て日本語で歌われているにも関わらず、見事にハード・ロックに乗っている。いかに「日本語をカッコ良く」聞かせるか？ を追求してきた邦楽の、一つの到達点と言って良い。

　髪を逆立てた度派手なメイク。女性と見まがうほど美しいYOSHIKIの中性的なファッション。不良でも辞めなかったというクラシック・ピアノも、また一つのステイタスとなっている。

Xといえば誰もが紅というほどこの曲は大切である。
この曲なしでは、Xは語れない
絶対買うべき１枚です。
僕もこれでファンになりました。

私は、あんまり音楽が好きではありませんでした。CDは中古で十分だと思っていました。むしろ、お笑い好きなので、歌なんてこれっぽちも興味なかったし、カラオケにもいったことがありませんでした。しかし、Xに出会って、歌が大好きになりました。今では近所迷惑だよなーと思いつつ、この紅を家で歌っています。
