恐らくは70s中後期辺り、謂わば、"アース・サウンド"が確立され、ポップな感覚で対峙できるファンクバンドとしての地位をゆるぎないものにした頃の作品を幾つか聴くのとイコールなのではないでしょうか。
基本的には"ベスト盤≒お試し版"という位置づけは私個人の考え方なので、これを皆さんに押し付けるような愚はをおかしてはいけないのですが、寧ろ、楽しみ方の一つとしては本作に収録されている曲に感じるものがあれば、そのナンバーが収録されているオリジナル作にトライしてみる、、、というのがいいのではないかと思います。
とは言え、本当に人気が頂点に達していた頃のアースを知るには、これはこれでOKなのですが(^^;
