確かに、ＬＡメタルブームの一時の人気に乗って売れたバンドとして、あまり評価は高くないが、メロディアスでキャッチーなメロディー、そつのないアレンジ、いい楽曲、忘れ去られるには惜しいバンド。
もちろんテクニックに焦点の当てられていた当時のメタルブーム時代のバンドなのでテクニックがないはずがない。

私としては一流といわれるドッケンやモトリクルー、ＭＲ．ＢＩＧなんかよりもウォレントのほうが聞いていて音楽的に楽しいよ。

…というベスト版です！１、３、６、７、１０あたりが
米シングルチャートでヒットしましたよね…ウル覚えですが。

僕が持つ、ウォレントの印象は
ルックスの良さを生かした「アイドル的」なバンドですかね。
ポイズンあたりとダブルんですよ。

ただ「アイドル的」なバンドだからポップで明るい
売れ線を歌うバンドなのかというとそうでもないです。

確かにヒット曲の中には、そういう曲もありますが
結構、ハードなモノもやってます。「チェリーパイ」や
「アンクルトムズキャビン」あたりを聞けば分かると思います。
ヴォーカルのジェイニー・レインは歌ウマイし曲作りも
上手な人ですよ。

結局、３ｒｄでヘヴィ路線に向かってしまい
衰退してしまうんですけど…
彼等の全盛期の華やかさを知りたい方は
是非、チェックしてみて下さい。

WARRANTイイですよ！曲はハード、ポップ、メロディアスとヴァラエティに富んでいるし、ヴォーカルの歌唱力も安定していて声も好きです。何よりWARRANTというバンド名がイイじゃありませんか笑）！『昔在籍していたドラマーがRATTのウォーレン・デ・マルティーニのファンだったからWARRANTに決めた』とか。ウォーレン・デ・マルティーニが理想の男性である私はこの話をある本で読んで以来、ますますWARRANTが好きになったのです。マジで。
