初期エアロで好きなアルバムは？と訊けば大抵の人が「Rocks」、「Toys In The Attic」、そしてこの「Draw The Line」のどれかを挙げるのではないでしょうか？
個人的には前2作の方が好きですが、このアルバムも中々これで素晴らしい。
少しでも気を抜けば折れてしまいそうな（実際このアルバムの後からゴタゴタが表面化してくるわけですが）「狂気」みたいなものを痛いほど感じさせてくれる作品。
表題曲の「Draw The Line」、「Kings and Queens」は当然名曲と言っていいものですが「Sight For Sore Eyes」も中々面白い。
「Live Bootleg」のライヴヴァージョンでエアロのライヴバンドぶりを感じるのに良いという意味で意味でですが。

ただ、「ミスアシング（アルマゲドンの曲）」や「エンジェル」をテレビで聴いて良いなと思って初めて聴くには勧めません。
今のエアロとは、全然違う曲の数々だから・・・。

5.0 out of 5 stars 当時の迫力と凄味が凝縮した作品, 2006/4/17
よく「スティーブンとジョーの分裂期の産物」とか「ロックスの燃えカス」
みたいな捉え方をされてしまうアルバムだけど、このアルバムはとにかくカッコいい。
「ロックス」は確かに完璧なアルバムだが、ロックが本来持つべき危なさや脆さは
こちらのアルバムのほうが上。不安定な華やかさと言ってもいいか。

聴き始めてすぐに当時のエアロスミスがロックンロールの持つこういった性質をこの１枚に
凝縮してしまったのだ、ということがすごくよくわかる。前作「ロックス」１曲目の
「バック・イン・ザ・サドル」が分厚い音圧とうねりで聴き手に畳み掛けてくるのに対して
「ドロー・ザ・ライン」は１曲目のタイトル･チューンから疾走感というより焦燥感で
こちらに迫ってくる感じ、といえばわかりやすいだろうか？
ジョーのスライドも圧巻であり今だにライブにおけるハイライトであるこの曲だけど
曲全体を覆うようなカサカサした乾燥感、ヒリヒリした感覚は前作〜当アルバムを
通してこの曲が最も強い。そして曲後半のスティーブンの強烈なシャウト（咆哮？）は
この曲というよりはこのアルバムの最大の聴きどころだろう。

それにしても締めの曲が「MilkCowBlues」っていうのが前作の締めと比べたら
あまりにもカッコ良い。最初から最後までとにかく熱い！！！
そしてハーシュフィールドのジャケも最高！

お城でドラッグ漬けになりながらエンヤコラと作り上げたアルバム。
当時の過剰期待の末評価も良くなかったのだが私自身は大好きな一枚。
冗談抜きでアッという間に一枚丸ごと聴き終えることが出来る稀有なアルバム。

昔のエアロでもアルバムに一曲は嫌々ながらもバラードを混ぜていたのだがこのアルバムでは全くそんな影すらない。そしてこのアルバムからジョーがボーカルをとる曲を混ぜ始めたのもアルバムそのものへのアクセント、そしてライブパフォーマンスでの幅の広がりにも繋がり凄みを増す要因にもなっている。
1ドローザラインでのジョーのスライドギター、スティーブンのシャウトは今でもライブで最高に盛り上がる華やかな一曲。「ライン」は隠語でコカインやヘロインを吸うときに綺麗にラインを作ることを言う、この時期にピッタリの曲。
新たな雰囲気を醸し出す６キングズアンドクィーンズ、ライブで映える8サイトフォーソォアイズ、毎度バラードで締めていたラストを飾るのはリフが最高に冴えているミルクカウブルース。
この緊迫感と全速力感は凄い。むき出しのロックがここにある。
