　「グッドナイトムーン」の映画を見て、一番印象に残ったのが、車の中でイザベル（ジュリア）が子供達とAINT　NO　MOUNTAIN　HIGH　ENOUGHを歌っているシーンでした。とっても楽しそうで、この曲を聞きたくてサントラを買いました。私は知らなかったけど、有名な曲なので知っている方も多いのでは？映画は、私は号泣でした･･･。ハナ紙を用意しつつ、映画を見て、サントラを聞いてみてください！！！

　「スター・ウォーズ」「ハリー・ポッター」「ジュラシック・パーク」などのシリーズをはじめ「スーパーマン」「シンドラーのリスト」など超大作を手がけてきたアメリカ映画界の音楽家の重鎮であるJohn Williamsがサントラを担当しています。一聴してJohn Williamsと分かるような典型的なファンファーレのような華々しいメロディはありませんが、いつも通り美しく映画にも調和する繊細なメロディを聴かせてくれます。
　4曲でギター・ソロを弾いているChristopher ParkeningはL.A.生まれのクラシック・ギタリストです。ミュージシャンをしていた叔父に連れられスタジオに遊びに行った11歳のときにセゴヴィアに会ったことがあるとか・・・。カルフォルニア生まれということもあってか、明るい印象のギターを聞かせてます。
　ただ、このサントラ全体を聴いて一番耳に残るのはやはりMarvin Gaye & Tammi Terrellのデビュー曲"Ain't No Mountain High Enough"でした。映画の中で非常に印象的に使われていたことを差し引いても、もともと歴史に残る名曲ですしね・・・。この曲に興味がある方は、サントラよりこの二人のベスト盤かコンプリート盤を買うことをオススメします。この映画も感動的かもしれませんが、このデュオにはこの映画以上に悲しい物語が隠れていますから。
