1枚ものからBOXまでベスト盤も各種出揃ったジャーニー。
お勧めするとしたら絶頂期のライブを記録したこの一枚しかない。
当時、ボストン、カンサス、スティクス（いずれも私は愛聴していた）らと共に「産業ロック」とこき下ろした某音楽評論家の文章を私はそれ以来全く信用しないことにしている。

武道館北側（！）スタンドから見たジャーニーだが私の目はすっかりスティーブ・スミスのトリコとなってしまい今でもあの超絶ドラムは目に焼きついている。スティーブ・ペリーにしてもこのライブアルバムを聴いてロック史上に名を残すべきボーカリストであることに異論を持つ人は少ないのではないだろうか。

最高にカッコいい「産業ロック」バンドの最高のライブパフォーマンス。

　２の最後に「ホントニ、ココロカラ、ドモ、アリガトウ」と言う、スティーブ・ペリーに、こちらが、「ありがとう」と言いたくなる、ライブ版を集めたベスト。
　ライブ・パフォーマンスの高さは、さすが、８０年代を勝ち抜いてきたバンドです。
　どの曲も、名曲だし、「エニイ・ウェイ・ユー・ウォント・イット」や「ホイール・イン・ザ・スカイ」のアレンジは、絶品です。

　オリジナル・メンバーのライブが不可能な今、貴重なライブＣＤだと思います。できれば、「エスケープ・ツアー」「フロンティアーズ・ツアー」「レイズド・オン・レイディオ・ツアー」それぞれのライブＣＤを出して欲しいと思います。

1998年に突如発売されたJourneyのライブ・アルバムです。録音は1981年のEscape Tourから1983年のFrontiers Tourまでのワールド・ツアーからのハイライトで、２．は1983年5月6日の日本武道館からの収録です（曲の最後でSteve Perryが「どうもありがとう！とうきょう~っ！！」って絶叫しています）。メンバーはSteve Perry(vo),Neal Schon(g,vo),Jonathan Cain(key,g,vo),Ross Valory(b,vo),Steve Smith(ds)の全盛期のメンバーです。個人的にはGregg Rolie(key,vo),Aynsley Dunbar(ds)が在籍していた頃も好きなのですが、一般的にはこの時期のライブがベストだと思います。収録曲も"Greatest Hits Live"のタイトルに偽りのないベストの選曲で、Journeyのファンだった方は勿論、ファンではなかった方にもお勧めしたい１枚です。この時期のライブはＭＴＶでも結構放送されていたので、ＤＶＤでも是非発売して欲しいと思います。以上
