'70s初頭から活躍するハッチンソン三姉妹からなるエモーションズの'77年リリース作品にして、グループ最大のヒット作です。
先ずは、今なおCM等のバックに流れる事も少なくない大ヒット曲[1]。'70s後期の雰囲気を孕んだ軽快かつハッピーなこの曲でエモーションズは一躍R&Bシーンの売れっ子スターになりました。
私自身も正直申しあげてこの一曲しか知らなかったのですが、本作全編を聴くことで作品全体が持つ軽やかさやメロウさに気付かされた次第です。それもそのはず(?)、プロデュースにはEW&FのM.ホワイトがあたり、本作に含まれる幾つかの楽曲は"EW&Fが演ってもイイ感じになるんじゃないかなぁ"と思わせるものもあります。勿論、A.マッケイ(g)やV.ホワイト(b)といったEW&F面子も参加しています。
＃harpのクレジットにD.アシュビーの名前も見えますね。
その後、EW&Fが'79年にリリースしたアルバム"I Am"(邦題：黙示録)の中に収められたヒット・チューン"Boogie wonderland"で、印象的な女性コーラスを聴かせているのがエモーションズだと言う事はご承知の通りです。
