　このCDはジュリアード四重奏団によるバルトークの弦楽四重奏曲の3回目の全曲録音です。同団の2回目の演奏と比較してみると明らかに落ちていると（入りのずれが特に決めどころで大きくずれたり、奏法の統一感が気になる、音価がいまいちしっくりこないという感覚など。また、比較であって落ちてる要素とは言えないが低音が大きくバランスが好みでないというか、別の曲かと錯覚したほど響きが異なる。）感じました。旧盤は入手が困難であり、とりあえずどんな曲か知りたい場合にはいいかもしれませんが、同団の演奏ならソニーレコードから2回目の第3,4,6番が出ており、他の団の演奏（ABQとかタカーチとか）もあるので考慮に入れてみるのもいいのではないでしょうか。

バルトークの弦楽四重奏を聴きたいと思ったとき、ではどの弦楽四重奏団にしようか迷います。アルバン・ベルク、エマーソン、ヴェーグ‥‥。
そんなときお勧めなのがこのジュリアード弦楽四重奏団。なんたってバルトークの弦楽四重奏の全曲を出すのはこれで三度目なんだから。

第1から6番まで、バラでも録音してるけど、どうせなら全曲買っちゃった方がお得です。
