浜省が試行錯誤を経て辿り着いた、自らの音楽の進むべき方向性を見いだし確立した名作である、オープニング曲の「終わりなき疾走」とともに、まさに浜省は疾走してゆく、日本の音楽シーンのフィールドへ、ビートナンバーからミディアム、バラードまで満載のアルバムである、特にラストの「岐路」は年を重ねて聴くほどに味わいのある名曲である

本人も認める実質的なデビュー作。バックバンドはLAの売れっ子スタジオミュージシャンで、紛れもなく当時の西海岸サウンド。省吾の歌が少しぎこちないけど、曲はどれも素晴らしい。特に「家路」はワンアンドオンリー（個人的には省吾の原点といえる曲だと思っています）。ライブで「家路」が好きになった人は是非こちらを聴いて欲しい。省吾もスティーブ・ルカサー（G)のソロはこれが一番と言っている位で、別テイクをレコーディングすることは想像できない。バックもこの曲だけは日本から来た若造（省吾さんすみません）にベストな演奏で応えている。「背伸び」しているが、省吾のやりたいことが伝わってくるアルバムです。

後に、「愛の世代の前に」、「オン・ザ・ロード」、「マイ ホームタウン」、「MONEY」、「八月の歌」、「BLOOD LINE(フェンスの向こうの星条旗)」と続いて行く浜省のロック面のサウンドの原点がここにある。
代表曲「東京」を始め、数曲にＴＯＴＯのギタリスト：スティーヴ・ルカサーが参加。ルカサーのギターソロは必聴だ。
