槇原敬之がリスペクトしているアーティストの楽曲、
自身のルーツとなる楽曲を集めて、すべてが
「槇原自身のリアレンジ」で収録されている１枚。
収録楽曲すべてが、彼の中で消化されて、
新たな世界が作られている。

オリジナルほどの痛さ、強さより、優しさの際立った
「空と君のあいだに」、
跳ね回る自由さが溢れる「Monkey　Magic」、
改めて美しい歌だったと気づかされる
学校唱歌の「朧月夜」など。
全体を通して、彼の歌の上手さ、音楽への愛、がわかる。

先日、「さんまのまんま」に出演した際、
「歌い継がれる歌をつくりたい」と言っていた彼。
（それに対して、「『世界にひとつだけの花』は10年いけるで」と
答えた明石家さんま...苦笑）

このアルバムは、おそらく、彼自身が「歌い継いでいきたい歌」の
集まりだ。大事に聞きたい1枚。

マッキーは「本物」です。リリシズムの何たるかを新しい音色で体験させてくれます。これは彼の作品集ではないけれど、マッキーを感じるに足るCDでした。

まず、選曲がいい。彼の世界観と似ているか、もしくは影響を受けた作品ばかりを集めた感がある。どの曲にも「はかなさに対する焦がれるほどの思い」が詰まっている。非常に美しいメロディたち。

特に「春よ、来い」「朧月夜」「月の舟」は顕著。彼の伸びやかな素直な声音が、旋律の美しさを引き立てている。いや、もう彼の声でしか聴けないかもしれない。（笑）それほどに印象的。

この中に「MONKEY　MAGIC」を入れてくれたのには感謝！つい、当時に戻ってしまいました。今聞いてもわくわくする音楽です。

この続編はないのでしょうか？

楽しみにしています。

どの曲も、オリジナルのイメージを崩さず且つ槇原クン独特の世界に浸らせてくれます。
彼の声の持つ「優しさ」「暖かさ」が、楽曲の詩の世界と見事にコラボレート。
乾いた心に水が染みとおっていくような、寂しいときにふっと後ろから肩を抱かれたような・・・
そんなあったかい気持ちになれる１枚です。
個人的には、「秋の気配」「蒼い月の夜」がお気に入り。大貫妙子の「海と少年」もＧｏｏｄ。（＾＾）
