「いい日旅立ち」で始まる一枚目や、
「プレイバックpartII」で始まる二枚目等、
曲順にまで趣向が凝らされており、非常に好感が持てる。
内容の方は多くを語る必要はないだろう。
日本の原風景を見事に歌い上げるその様は、
研ぎ澄まされた感性を聞く者に感じさせる事だろう。
彼女を過去形でしか語れないのが、惜しまれてならない。

青春時代の想い出が綴られた一枚。
私より一歳違いの山口百恵。当然、青春時代は彼女の曲が思い出の中から甦る。
花の中3トリオも、もう50歳を目の前にしていますが、不思議に曲のイメージはしっかりと残っています。

初期のヒット曲「ひと夏の経験」「初恋時代」などは、少女らしさが懐かしい。
女性のムードが漂ってきそうな阿木＝宇崎コンビの曲「プレイバックpart2」「絶対絶命」「横須賀ストーリー」「夢先案内人」などは、ポップ系ののりでピカイチ。
さだまさしの「秋桜」や谷村新司の「いい日旅立ち」は、定番。
彼女の曲は、今も青春時代の淡い恋の思い出とともに胸の中に残っています。

花の中3トリオから、女性への歩みがわかるベストといってもいいかもしれません。

としごろ・青い果実・禁じられた遊び・美サイレント・愛の嵐・謝肉祭など結構重要な曲が抜けてます。
二枚組に入らないのはしょうがないですが、このベストだけでは山口百恵のヒット曲が揃わないことは留意すべき点でしょう。
